Thank you, Stephen! I truly appreciate your careful and thorough coverage of this issue of Chopra's involvement with Epstein. I have read some of these files, and was appalled, of course, by all of it. This discovery of Deepak's involvement was particularly disturbing to me, as it was, I'm sure, to you and so many in the consciousness awareness community. To my knowledge, no one else has yet had the courage to call this out. Furthermore, I sincerely appreciate that you have removed all of his work from the Shift Network's archives. Over the many years now, I have come to admire you deeply for all of the important interviews that you have brought us. And more than ever, I am grateful for the honorable man that you are.
Thank you for publishing this article with your clear stand, analysis and explanation for your position. I, like many others who had followed Chopra’s work over the years, was appalled and shocked by the materials that were released showing his conduct and writings.
I am pleased to see you have removed him from your platform. It further raises my perception of both you, and the Shift Network.
It is a stark reminder that we should not put anyone on a pedestal. Human’s are not infallible.
As you say there are opportunities and ways to redeem oneself from ethical and moral failures, and it says so much about a person who does not care to make that choice.
Thank you for this article providing facts without the need to be righteous. Thank you for offering him opportunities that remind him and readers that compassion for past mistakes is a true form of the power of love. I am not a leader. I am a seeker and consumer of wisdom offered by teachers and leaders. To have someone like Chopra be discovered in duplicity actions has been profoundly disappointing...it made me question my ability to exercise discernment in selecting teachers. To have leaders in this field be conspicuously quiet , to have no comment, about Chopras actions has also been disheartening. This well reasoned and heart enriched article provides the leadership I need to move on and restores my confidence in my own discernment, my own ability to know what is right. I appreciate more than words can express your ethical strength and willingness to talk truth to all of us who value right relationship personally and in community.
Indeed, thank you, Stephen. Clarity is needed necessary demanded, the confusion and potential harm of students is real and deep. Your actions, writing, and speaking-out clearly on this matter is more than just appreciated, it honors your path. May your courage, dignity, and pursuit of truth bloom bloom bloom for the benefit of the many.
“What is most needed now is not nondual platitudes, but courageous truth-telling, deep accountability, and humble repair.” You are correct and your stand here is very clear. You are showing the way, demonstrating the kind of leadership needed now. Thank you for your ethical clarity and for taking a stand where it is so desperately needed.
Thank you, Stephen, for the courage to do this & to so skillfully lay out the issues. I echo what the others have said and will not attempt to repeat their messages. I just wanted to let you know that I am among your admirers and that my already high estimation has reached a pinnacle with this action on your part.
Most of my thoughts and feelings have already been shared. I just want to add my deep gratitude for you taking the time to write this, provide Deepak an opportunity to respond, and let those of us who have invested a great deal of time and money for personal and spiritual growth on the Shift Platform know exactly where you stand on this. Thank you for role modeling what being a man of integrity looks like AND asking others to do the same!
Thank you for this, I have been bothered by the lack of people on the spiritual community speaking up, particularly those who have partnered with Chopra in the past.
This was a beautiful and refreshing bit of honesty and accountability, without torches. It's so difficult seeing people and platforms we once respected and relied on remain silent about clearly problematic connections, and to see this clear and honest message and BOUNDARY defined by the Shift Network, makes me so much more inclined to continue to use the site and courses as a resource along my own journey. Integrity matters and the light washing is a huge problem. THANK YOU FOR THIS. As a woman, it feels protective and safe, which is desperately needed. Thank you.
The era of the false gurus is clearly coming to a rapid halt.
The split-screen between “high-level” teachings and out-of-integrity actions can no longer hide behind non-dual recitations and, in many cases, occult powers (siddis) that easily mimic The Divine.
Sadly, it sometimes takes existential atrocities to open our eyes to such harm, abuse and control-over-others.
That was the case in this life where the actions of non-dual teachers affected 4-generations of my family when non-dual teachers made the agreed-upon decision…across the *FULL* non-dual teaching spectrum (including Nome, Russell Smith, Candace O’Denver, Adyashanti, Gangaji, Jeannie Zandi and *many* others)…to place the *ENTIRETY* of the burden for their lies-and-deceptions on these shoulders…and the shoulders of my family literally ripping my family apart…that I was silenced (under a death threat) for a decade+…ensuring those lies would *never* become public knowledge.
This criminality has been described as a ‘Soul murder’ akin to being ‘buried alive.’
Those are absolutely accurate descriptions of the *feeling* of what occurred here.
There has been *zero accountability* and no one who said “this is not right.”
This is so shocking. I have followed his work since the early 2000s. No more. Silence and refusing accountability betray trust. And that he did not reply to you with integrity is deeply disturbing. What makes any of these men yield to the toxic need to manipulate girls and women and collude with a predator like Epstein is beyond my ken. But with this revelation about Chopra, I see something even darker--that for men, specifically, acting as leaders and speakers in the spiritual and evolving consciousness fields, there is an essential hypocrisy too many of them seem unable to resist or control. It is wretchedly saddening. But even so, I am glad, yes, to know the truth. Thank you.

We definitely need to speak up as a spiritual community
